Jefferson, a junior quarterback at Air Force, led the Falcons to wins over Navy (14--6), where he ran for both touchdowns, and Army (42--22), where he threw for two scores, to wrest possession of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy from the Midshipmen for the first time in seven years. He is the first service academy quarterback to start three bowl games.

Halbach, a senior at the Merchant Marine academy, won the one- and three-meter dive events at the Division III championships to take home the third and fourth national titles of his career, scoring a 66.15 on his last three-meter dive to win with a record score of 591.65. He earned D-III diver of the year honors for the second time in three years.
RIVER RIDGE, LA. > Softball
Feindel, a junior at the Coast Guard academy, broke a D-III record with her 26th shutout of the season in a 3--0 win over Wesleyan. Two weeks later, in a win over Lesley at the NCAA regionals, she broke the D-III strikeout mark (1,166). At season's end she led the nation in wins (37), K's (457), shutouts (26) and ERA (0.56), and was named New England player of the year.
