Even while fighting through a knee injury and missing a game, the three-year starter finished second among Commodores in tackles (80) after making 100-plus tackles in each of his first two seasons. Marve has got brainpower to match his on-field pop: He's a double major in the classroom.

Late-season burst in '10 could lead to going long in '11

After putting up solid numbers—12 catches, 136 yards, and two TDs—in his final two games as a freshman last fall, Matthews continued his momentum during a strong spring. With coach James Franklin looking for receivers to emerge from the pack and hoping to take shots downfield, Matthews will have every opportunity to seize an even larger role.
