TELLING NUMBER

1--13 KSU'S RECORD OVER THE PAST THREE SEASONS AGAINST BIG 12 OPPONENTS WHO FINISHED WITH WINNING RECORDS.

KEY RETURNEES

CB DAVID GARRETT SENIOR

The 5' 8" 175-pounder led the Wildcats in tackles (92), tackles for loss (15) and was second in sacks (three) last year. The only corner at KSU who has seen significant reps, he'll have to be up to the task in coverage this fall.

DE BRANDON HAROLD JUNIOR

Harold has been slowed by knee problems but saw time at end and tackle this spring and had 2½ sacks in the spring game. At 6' 5", 264 pounds he's a bit small for the inside, but wherever he plays he'll be the crucial anchor of an inexperienced defensive line that struggled in 2010.
