THE STUD RUNNER is still the easiest way to fantasy glory. The NFL's recent trend toward time-share backfields has only widened the gap between fantasy teams with an Adrian Peterson—type workhorse and those without one. So if you're in position to take Peterson, Arian Foster or Chris Johnson, do it. In the later rounds look for sleepers such as James Starks (who is emerging), Rashad Jennings (who's backing up a possibly ailing Maurice Jones-Drew) or Montario Hardesty (who is healthy and ready to steal carries from Peyton Hillis).

Running Backs

55 Danny WOODHEAD PATRIOTS

AGE: 26 BYE WEEK: 7 AUCTION: $1

After Kevin Faulk went down early in 2010, Woodhead established himself as a highly effective—and electric—passing-down specialist with big-play ability both as a runner and a receiver (six plays of 20-plus yards). Alas, his lack of touches (no more than 13 in any game last year) on a team that continues to add backfield help makes him a risky play in any non-PPR leagues.

56 Ben TATE TEXANS

AGE: 23 BYE WEEK: 11 AUCTION: $1

This 2010 second-round pick was in line to see significant playing time last year before breaking his right fibula and tearing ankle ligaments in the preseason, paving the way for Arian Foster to have a breakthrough year. All reports say that Tate is healthy; if so, he'll battle Derrick Ward (our money is on Tate) to be the main backup to Foster, who carried the ball 327 times last year.
