OTHER FAMILIES have had multiple siblings suit up for different schools, but over the last half century, Duke's Plumlees stand alone, together, in Division I men's basketball. Marshall (40, a freshman), Miles (21, a senior) and Mason (5, a junior) are the first trio since the 1957--58 season to take the court for the same team.
Identical twins Tom (left) and Dick Van Arsdale had nearly identical scoring averages throughout their careers at Indiana (17.4 for Tom and 17.2 for Dick). Both were named All-America in 1964--65 and both played 12 NBA seasons.
The last threesome to appear in the same D-I uni were (from left) Harold, Bucky and Terry Bockhorn who averaged a combined 19.7 points for Dayton. Also in '57--58, Matthew, Thomas and William Brennan played for Villanova.
FOUR ON THE FLOOR
During the 1985--86 season the Niego brothers (from left: Tom, Mark, Charlie and Joe) filled out four fifths of the starting lineup for Lewis University, a D II school near Chicago. Tom, a 6'6" forward, led the team in scoring with 19.9 points.
