Sheldon, a senior running back at Anadarko High, had 286 total yards and five touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 35--18 win over Cascia Hall for the Warriors' first 3A title. His 47-yard TD catch late in the third quarter sparked a comeback from an 18--8 deficit; he sealed the win with an interception on Cascia's final offensive play. The performance capped a year in which he set state season records for rushing (57) and total TDs (64). He was the state's rushing leader, with 3,335 yards for the year.

Simonin, a senior defender and captain at Memphis, repeated as Conference USA's defensive player of the year and was named Lowe's Senior CLASS Award winner for NCAA Division I women's soccer. She had six goals and five assists while anchoring a defense that had 15 shutouts and allowed .53 goals per game. The Tigers had a team-best 22-1-1 record, and Simonin was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America first-team All-America.

Wall, a senior forward at Ohio Wesleyan, scored a first-half goal in the Battling Bishops' 4--0 NCAA Division III semifinal win over Montclair State and another in a 2--1 title-game victory over Calvin, to be named the tournament's most outstanding offensive player. The championship win gave coach Jay Martin the record for career victories across all divisions of college soccer (608). Wall, a 2010 All-America with 19 goals and 15 assists this season, is an NSCAA national player of the year candidate.
