NO PLACE LIKE NASCAR'S HOME

5.27 CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

2011 RECAP On the backstretch of the final lap, leader Dale Earnhardt Jr. ran out of fuel, allowing KEVIN HARVICK to pass him coming out of Turn 4 for the victory.

TRACK FACT In Will Ferrell's 2006 movie Talladega Nights, scenes that were supposed to take place at Texas Motor Speedway were in fact shot at Charlotte.

EYE ON 2012 The last 10 races here have seen 10 different winners. Expect that trend to continue, perhaps with Brad Keselowski.

WALTRIP "The Coke 600 on Memorial Day weekend is an endurance race. And because the area is home to almost all of the teams, it gives the races here a real special atmosphere."

5.6 TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY

2011 RECAP Dale Earnhardt Jr. pushed teammate JIMMIE JOHNSON .002 of a second ahead of Clint Bowyer, tied for the closest finish since electronic scoring began in 1993.

TRACK FACT In six Cup races over the last three years, there have been 452 lead changes at Talladega, the most over a six-race span at any track in NASCAR history.

EYE ON 2012 Richard Childress Racing's Chevys have won three of the last four events at the 2.66-mile tri-oval, the biggest track on the schedule. Expect RCR to dominate again.
