Gulf, Anyone?

The fallout from the BP oil spill is still being felt along the 1,631-mile coastline from Texas to Florida. Three models with roots nearby—with an assist from a four-time Grammy-winning artist—offered a reminder that there is still plenty of beauty to behold

To be sure, the spill did serious damage to the environment, and the full extent of the devastation remains unclear. But the people of New Orleans, the people of the Gulf, they haven't changed one bit. People are going to greet you with a smile. Les temps are always going to rouler; there's always going to be great food; there's always going to be great music and great culture. It's a place that we can't let go under. In New Orleans the spill came on the heels of the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort. That's twice the region has endured catastrophe in the last six years. But we're here to stay.
