MILTON, FLA. > SOFTBALL

Katie, a senior at Milton High, struck out 22 batters in 10 innings for a 3--1 victory over Navarre High, her eighth straight win. She has also pitched a one-hitter and three perfect games, including the season opener (2--0, over West Florida). Katie, who led the Panthers in homers, RBIs and stolen bases last year, has a team-high .375 batting average and has pitched 134 strikeouts in 11 games, through Sunday.

MICHAEL EGENTI

FORT WORTH, TEXAS > SOCCER

Michael, a senior forward at Nolan Catholic, had a foot in each of the Vikings' three goals in a 3--1 win over John Paul II High for the team's second straight Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Division I state title. He scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute and had assists on the final two. The 6'4" 240-pounder also played defensive end on the school's state-title-winning football team this year.

AMANDA SOBHY

SEA CLIFF, N.Y. > SQUASH

Sobhy, a freshman at Harvard, won five straight matches, including a 3--0 sweep in the final over defending champion Millie Tomlinson of Yale, to win the Collegiate Squash Association's individual championship. A week earlier she beat Tomlinson at the CSA team championships to help the Crimson earn its 13th national title. In June 2010, Sobhy became the first U.S. woman to win the world junior title.
