By the UFC's top heavyweight contender, Alistair Overeem (36-11-0), a drug test in the lead-up to his May 26 UFC 146 bout against champion Junior dos Santos. Overeem, a former world kickboxing champion, was tested on March 27 and found to have a testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio of 14 to 1, well above the allowable 6 to 1. (The amount of epitestosterone in the body is not affected by testosterone, so scientists use a change in ratio to identify doping.) Overeem, who has not commented on his results, is allowed to take a second test but will have to be cleared by the commission before fighting again. "I am beyond pissed about this," said UFC president Dana White upon learning of the results. "[He's] an absolute moron, a brain-dead absolute f------ dummy."
