I think Bubba Watson showed great humility after winning the Masters when he said, "I never got this far in my dreams." So many athletes talk about how they always dreamed of winning that it makes you wonder if the experience really is greater when it is a complete surprise.

Thanks for the wonderful story on Watson and the Masters (Power and Grace). Since Watson is a born-again, Southern teetotaler, he and I don't have a lot in common, so he was never on my radar. Still, I gladly cheered his gutsy play during the Masters and found his authenticity and quirky personality to be a breath of fresh air.

Not So Super Agent
I'm not sure what to make of the revival of Leigh Steinberg ("Jerry Maguire Aspires to Be You"). Steinberg still owes about $3.2 million to his creditors, all of which might be forgiven through his recent bankruptcy filing. One can't help but wonder what star athlete would want to deal with an agent who is on the comeback trail and who managed his own finances so poorly.

Good Juju, Bad Juju
I can definitely relate to Hart Seely's essay about helping your team win (SCORECARD). I too am a proud member of the Yankees' juju nation. I have been cheering for the Yanks while sitting in the same lucky La-Z-Boy for their last seven World Series championships. When the Bronx Bombers are losing, I pace the room until their next hit. When they are winning, I wear the same T-shirt for every game, to keep the streak alive. I know in my heart that without dedicated fans like me, the Yanks would not be as good as they are.
