Raymond, a senior at Fort Collins High, broke Colorado's 100-meter record with a 10.27 at the Dakota Ridge Invitational in Lakewood, the second-fastest wind-legal time in the nation this year. He also won the 100 at the Arcadia (Calif.) Invitational against a national field (10.41). Raymond has the top 200-meter time in the country this year (20.87) and the state's fastest 400 meters (47.79).
PAWCATUCK, CONN. > SOFTBALL
Andrea, a junior at Stonington High, fanned all 21 batters in a 3--0 win over Norwich Free Academy to become the second softball pitcher in state history to throw a perfect game in which every out was a strikeout. A week later she threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 of 16 batters, and hit a home run in a 17--0 victory. A centerfielder last year, she is 4--1 with a 1.07 ERA in her first varsity season on the mound.
PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA > GOLF
Frittelli, a senior at top-ranked Texas and the NCAA's No. 2--ranked golfer with 10 top 10 finishes in 13 events this season (including a shared win at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate), was named corecipient of college golf's Byron Nelson Award for outstanding academic and athletic achievement. A two-time All-America, Frittelli is a finalist for the 2012 Ben Hogan Award, given to the top U.S. college golfer.
