ENEMY lines WHAT A RIVAL COACH SAYS
"ST. LOUIS FANS should be happy. New coach Jeff Fisher and coordinator Brian Schottenheimer will do wonders for this team and its offense. But the improvements are going to take a while.
Remember Fisher's Tennessee teams? He liked his offenses to run the ball and his defenses to stop the run, and that's what he'll emphasize with the Rams. The problem is that Steven Jackson has taken a pounding, and I wonder how much longer he can go at this rate. He amazes me.... We scouted Isaiah Pead and liked him. I bet he's used a lot to take some of the hits off of Jackson.
The biggest beneficiary of the coaching change will be Sam Bradford. He has talent; he just has been bouncing from one offense to another. He needs to be given one offensive system and learn it.
Some receivers would help too, and this team doesn't have any right now. The Rams signed Steve Smith, but he hasn't been the same since he needed microfracture knee surgery two years ago.... Bradford is comfortable throwing to Danny Amendola, but he plays the slot like Smith.
My guess is that the rookies, Brian Quick and Chris Givens, will play immediately and probably start at some point this season. We were impressed with Quick, who has all of the tools to be a darn good receiver.
Tight end Lance Kendricks isn't as good as I thought that he would be."
