Running Backs

Lynch went beast mode on the NFL in 2011 and got a $31 million deal. Some worry that last season was a contract-year aberration or have concerns that he feasted on bad and middling run D's (102.7 rushing average in seven games against non--top 10 D's) and famined against good ones (60.6 in eight games against the top 10). Still, he's one of the very few feature backs these days.

5 Darren SPROLES SAINTS TIER: 2

AGE: 29 BYE WEEK: 6 AUCTION: $24

Trust us: We're surprised he's ranked this high too. But he hasn't missed a game since 2007 and is durable enough to expand on the multipurpose role he had last year, when he ranked seventh in the NFL in catches and added solid rushing numbers. With Mark Ingram's health uncertain, the 5' 6" Sproles's value stays strong. He would be ranked even higher in PPR leagues.
