INDELIBLE MOMENT Tim Couch's TD pass to Craig Yeast in OT against Alabama on Oct. 4, 1997, gave Kentucky a 40--34 victory, the Wildcats' first win over the Tide in 75 years. (Fans tore the goalposts down. Nine years later the collapsible goalposts were installed.)

COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE The blue of the Wildcats' uniforms was reportedly chosen based on the shade of 1890s player Richard C. Stoll's necktie.
