Even after position switch, talent takes him to the top

He was one of the nation's top 40 running back recruits a year ago, and Joker Phillips thinks the redshirt freshman has the talent to start at tailback. Instead the quick-footed Caffey will be key in the secondary, where he came out of spring practice atop the depth chart at his new position and left the staff raving about his potential.

The state's Mr. Football out of Highlands High in Fort Thomas sent the first fax the Kentucky staff received on signing day, then spent the spring attending practices to learn the offense he'll have a chance to run this fall. At 6' 5", 242 pounds, Towles is a dual threat.
