Armstrong, a senior midfielder at Northwestern, scored her 100th career goal with her fourth of the game in a 6--0 Senior Day win over Missouri State, becoming the ninth player in NCAA history to reach the century mark. It was her 29th goal of the year, which set a program record. In September she had a hat trick, including the game-winner, in a 5--4 overtime win against Penn State. A two-time Big Ten offensive player of the year, Armstrong leads the nation in goals through Sunday (29).

Nowry, a junior at Northern Michigan, defeated Dzmitry Brychak of Belarus 6--0, 1--0 to win gold in the Greco-Roman 55-kg weight class at the University World Championships in Kuortane, Finland. Nowry swept each of his three matches to earn the title, including a 1--0, 2--0 win over Poland's Marcin Kunysz in the opening round and a pin of Turkey's Serif Kilic in the semifinal. A resident-athlete at NMU's Olympic training site, Nowry placed second at last summer's 2012 Olympic trials.

Meghan and Morgan, seniors and co-captains at Edina High, led the Hornets to a 7--0 win over Minnetonka for a national-record 16th-straight girls' tennis title, breaking the mark set by Edina from 1978 to '92. The duo beat No. 1 doubles opponents, Sydney Baldwin and Theresa Tebon, in straight sets and went undefeated in the regular season.
