Oneda, a freshman at Johns Hopkins, led the Blue Jays to the NCAA Division III team title by finishing 10th (for eight points) in 21:26.3 at the national championships in Terre Haute, Ind. The title is the first in program history and the first NCAA championship in a women's sport in school history. The top freshman finisher at the NCAA's, Oneda won both the Centennial Conference and NCAA Mideast Regional titles earlier this season. She was named Centennial Conference rookie of the year.

Zach, a senior at K¹² online school, topped the speed charts with a time of 1:18.4717, setting an unofficial track record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway while testing a Firestone Indy Lights car against 12 other eligible drivers at the Brickyard in October. His winning test run earned him a ride in the 12-race Indy Lights series with Andretti Autosport for 2013. This past year he also won his second straight Formula Car Challenge in the Goodyear Winter Series championship.

Kennedy, a junior at the University of Hawaii, and Berry, a freshman, led the Rainbow Wahine to a team win in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference fall championship, hosted by USC in the Santa Barbara Harbor, defeating runner-up Stanford by 23 points. The duo had four top finishes in 12 races to win the A division with a regatta-low 26 points.
