Hale, a senior at Annapolis High, lapped the field at the Anne Arundel County indoor championships to win the 3,200 meters in 9:18.01, breaking by 22.79 seconds the meet record of Olympian and former Broadneck High star Matthew Centrowitz Jr. Hale, who also won the 2012 Maryland 3A cross-country title, was named the All-Metro cross-country runner of the year by The Baltimore Sun. He will run for Navy.

Karli, a 5'7" senior guard at Shadyside High, scored 28 points with seven three-pointers in a 52--49 Ohio Valley Athletic Conference semifinal win over Bridgeport High, breaking the state record for career treys, boys or girls, with 330. Through Sunday she was averaging 19.1 points on 41.3% shooting from behind the arc for the Lady Tigers. Karli will play at the University of Findlay (Ohio).

Caesar, a fifth-year senior and co-captain at Michigan, won the parallel bars in the team's home opener with an NCAA-record 15.90 points, helping the No. 3 Wolverines upset Stanford to claim the Cardinal's No. 2 rank, 439.75--429.35. A week later he matched that score in a 439.35--413.40 win over Cal. (The previous record of 15.85 was set in 2008.) Caesar competed for Bangladesh at the 2012 London Games.
