HOT: MAXED OUT

Tigers righthander Max Scherzer leads the bigs in W's with 13, a mark that along with his career-low 3.19 ERA earned the 28-year-old his first All-Star appearance. Since April 29, Detroit's ace (sorry, Justin Verlander) has gone at least six innings in every start.

NOT: MARSHALL PLAN?

Marshall Henderson's run may have ended at Ole Miss, his fourth school in as many seasons: The flamboyant guard, who led the Rebels with 20.1 ppg as a junior, was suspended indefinitely for what was described as "a violation of team rules," reportedly a failed drug test.

HOT: OH, HENRY

French forward Thierry Henry had a goal and two assists as the Red Bulls routed the Montreal Impact 4--0 last Saturday. Henry's strike in the 16th minute raised his team-leading goal total to seven, and the win moved New York into a tie with Montreal for second in the East.

NOT: DOPE!

Injured and embattled Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez failed to show up for a minor league rehab game for Class A Tampa last Friday and is now reportedly discussing a plea deal with MLB over his looming PED suspension. Reportedly, he'll take 150 games over a lifetime ban.

HOT: JORDAN RULES

Jordan Spieth, 19, became the youngest PGA Tour event winner in 82 years. His victory at the John Deere Classic, on the fifth hole of a playoff, earned the former Longhorns star a spot in this week's British Open and next year's Masters, a full-time Tour berth and $828,000.
