John Stockton, Utah Jazz - No. 16 -- first round, 1984
Michael Jordan (third pick in 1984) and Larry Bird (sixth pick in 1978) easily could headline this list, but the focus here is on high-impact players chosen in the middle of the first round or later. There's no better example of this than what the Jazz did with the 16th and 13th picks in consecutive years. Utah parlayed those selections into two of the finest players to play their positions, starting with Stockton, the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals.
