Icons at the End of the Road

There's always a certain amount of disorientation when an icon leaves a team with which he has been long-identified to play in a new city. After 16 seasons in a Packers uniform, it's certainly going to be odd to see Brett Favre in a different shade of green. At age 38, New York will likely be the final chapter of his storied career. The Jets' current talent and history of struggle and disappointment aside, Favre will also join a legion of sports legends who concluded their careers in places that are not often recalled, and with frequently unhappy endings.
