> BIOGRAPHY
Seth Davis joined the staff of Sports Illustrated in July 1995. He is now a staff writer for the magazine and authors the Inside College Basketball column during season. Davis is also a frequent contributor to the magazine's golf section, Golf Plus.
Before arriving at SI, Davis spent nearly three years at The New Haven Register, where he wrote about the NFL, NBA, college basketball and local high school sports. A 1992 graduate of Duke with a degree in Political Science, he also was a sports columnist for The Chronicle, the university's daily campus newspaper.
Among the many interesting moments in his young journalistic career, Davis ranks interviewing President Bill Clinton at the 1997 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club as his most memorable assignment for the magazine.
Born in Connecticut and raised in Potomac, Maryland, Davis currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and dog Bailey. An avid golfer, he also has performed stand-up comedy in various clubs throughout New York City.
