U.S. men's Olympic soccer team member Landon Donovan will chat with CNNSI.com users Thursday, Sept. 27, at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

After becoming the first U.S. men's team to make it out of the first round, Donovan and the rest of his teammates will take on Chile for an unprecedented bronze medal on Friday, Sept. 29.

At the 1999 FIFA U-17 Youth World Championship in New Zealand, Donovan earned the Golden Ball as the tournament's most valuable player, after leading the U-17s to a fourth-place finish. Donovan finished his U-17 career with 35 goals and 16 assists in 41 international appearances.

Donovan signed a deal with German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in February 1999, becoming one of the youngest players in U.S. Soccer history to sign a professional contract oversees.
