Atlanta Thrashers center Patrik Stefan chats Friday at 4 p.m. EDT.

The Thrashers have the top pick in Saturday's NHL Draft. In 1999, the last time Atlanta had the top overall pick, the Thrashers used the selection to draft Stefan as the first pick in the franchise's history.

As a rookie in 1999, Stefan tallied 25 points, with 22 of his 25 points came with the team at even strength. He finished tied for ninth among NHL rookies with 20 assists and topped Atlanta with 18 even-strength assists.

This past season Stefan netted a career-high 10 goals and ranked fourth on club in scoring with a career-high 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists).
