![]() Medinahmania! Who will go the distance in this year's final major?Posted: Monday August 09, 1999 04:58 PM
In a year when golfers have faced humbling scores in the first three major tournaments, the 1999 PGA Championship could have similar results. At 7,401 yards, Medinah Country Club is the longest course played in a major tournament since 1967. To win this one, the competitors will need a combination of raw power and finesse around the greens. So what do you think will happen? Will David Duval, Colin Montgomerie or Phil Mickelson finally grab the elusive major title they have pursued? Will the much-talked-about young guns take charge this time or will victory go to another veteran like Jose Maria Olazabal or Payne Stewart? Give us your perspective, and we'll print some of the most interesting responses in the coming days.
